I got into essential oils because I liked having a more natural alternative to things I use in my home every day.
Why Young Living?
I did a lot of research to seek out the brand I felt most comfortable using. That brand ended out being Young Living. Because that brand is what I use, most everything posted on this blog will be pertaining to Young Living’s oils and blends. (See my disclaimer for all the details about how I’m not a doctor, don’t even play one on TV.) There might be a brand you or your friends enjoy using, and that’s great! I’m not interested in brand squabbles. The fact that we’re all interested in essential oils says we probably have a whole lot more in common than not.
Prior to Young Living, my understanding of most MLMs was annoying marketing tactics and in-your-face sales pitches. Many people only sign up as a wholesale member with Young Living in order to get the benefit of 24% off retail prices (which really is a good deal). All you have to do to maintain a wholesale account is to place a single 50PV (point volume) minimum order per year; if you go passed that timeframe, you can reactivate your account by calling Young Living customer care with a 100PV order. That’s it. If you’re interested in signing up, awesome! I signed up by getting a Premium Starter Kit, which was a great way to get introduced to the oils, get a great diffuser, and so on.
